Introduction

This article applies to users with the Security Administrator role. This article with describe the procedure for granting Service Admin and Organization Service Admin roles in Active Access IAM. The Service Admin role is best used to enable a user to administer Trading Partner requests for access to the parent package and all subpackages. The Organization Service admin role is used to enable a customer user to administer user access related to specific sub-packages. For example, if an admin who needs to review and approve organization onboarding requests for Active Access would need the Service Admin role; and an admin who needs to review and approve requests for a single application would need the Organization Service Admin role. note: a user must have access to a Service Package in order to become a Service Admin or Organization Service Admin for that package.

Add the Organization Service Admin or Service Admin role to the user

1. Navigate to the Administration menu, then Manage Roles
2. Click the Add User icon in the Action column aligned with the desired role
3. Use the filter to find the desired user, check the box to select the user, then click the Assign button

Add the User to the Organization's Service Admin list for the application

1. Navigate to the Manage Organization menu, then Service Packages
2. Click the package that the user should be an administrate
3. Click the Service Administrators tab
4. Click the + icon to add a Service Administrator or Organization Service Administrator
5. Select Organization service administrator or Service administrator from the role selector on the upper right corner of the pop-up window
6. Click the + icon next to the desired user
7. A confirmation message will display
